For this assignment, you will explain the contributions, importance, type of research and field of science for a famous scientist by creating a fictional "Fakebook Page" for the scientists. It is important that you also represent a historical perspective based on when the scientist lived as well as current or past scientific controversies relating to their work. Though basic biographical information is important, you should make sure that you address some of the "bigger questions" below.

Though basic biographical information is important, you should make sure that you address some of the "bigger questions" below.
Things to consider as you work on your project:
- What field of science does your scientist work in? Did they begin that scientific discipline? What types of research and methods does/did this scientist use?
- Is the scientist currently alive? When did the scientist live? What was going on in the world at that time? What other famous figures in science or history were alive at that time?
- Where did they live? What was their nationality? Did their family, religious or society culture affect their education and their opportunities?
- What obstacles did they have to overcome personally and professionally to accomplish what they did?
- Were there any controversies that surrounded their work? Did they have any competition or rivals in their field? Have their theories been modified or changed as more has been learned in modern science?
- Why is what they did considered science? How do you know they are a scientist?
- What was their personality like? Are they known for anything else beyond their scientific contributions?
- Why are they significant? What did they accomplish to make them famous?
